To The Company of Angels…

I just wanted to share with you what it was like the day that we received your gifts and card….

It was just before Christmas when someone came to my door and delivered this cute Christmas bag with wrapped presents and a card. I was surprised….I wasn’t expecting any deliveries, and I didn’t know the person who was standing on my doorstep. I was given the bag, and I put it on my coffee table. I didn’t open it right away…I waited until my sons came home…they were working at a construction site next door….

When they came home, I showed them the bag, and they very excitedly started to open the contents. As everything was unwrapped, and when we realized the generosity of the gift, we were speechless. I started to cry and my 15 & 16 year-old sons were on the verge of tears too. At that very moment, it didn’t matter that we didn’t have a Christmas tree, or any other wrapped presents. The only thing we knew was that there was a “Company of Angels” that cared enough about us to bless us with kindness…everything changed after that for all of us. We felt loved through and through, and those feelings are still with us every day. Since that moment, my sons & I have realized at a very deep level, how important acts of kindness are….how lives can be changed when someone does something that is thoughtful and caring.

I still can’t recall this story without tears, and they are coming to me now as I write this. We will never ever forget you. Thank you.
